My Current Bikes

I have a number of bikes in my Shed, Royal Enfield Classic Reborn 350, Royal Enfield Machismo 350 Indian import with a sidecar, the Mighty BMW R1150RT, Suzuki GN125 and Yamaha Virago 535. Find more about them below.

Betsy My Royal Enfield Classic 350 Reborn

Betsy, a Royal Enfield Classic 350, is my usual companion now. Betsy loves the quiet lanes, the reassuring burble from her exhaust, gentle nature and ability to go almost anywhere puts a smile on my face on every ride.

Vi My 350 Bullet with sidecar

Vi is an Indian import 350cc Royal Enfield Bullet, with a Watsonian Squire GP Manx sidecar. Vi has lots of character, she is a back to basics bike, no fancy electric starter, just pure riding pleasure!

The mighty BMW R1150RT is a fantastic bike.

I’ve owned two other BMW bikes over the years, my first was a R65, BMW’s midrange tourer launched in 1978.

The other was the R80RT. Launched in 1982, I was at Alan Jefferies in Shipley on the Saturday it was launched in 1982. By 10am it was mine.

One day I would love to have another one!

I keep the GN125 more for nostalgia than riding. I started in rider training back when I was 16 ½ helping out at my local RAC/ACU training scheme. Fast forward to 2003, I started my own training school, GN was the first bike I bought at a training bike.

One day I should try and work out how much money it made for me!

If everyone had their own, this bike is my wife’s.one day it will look like this again, but for now it sits at the back of the shed waiting for me to get round to restoring it, again.

“Nothing compares to the simple pleasure of a bike ride.”
